PORTUGAL. Lisbon. 10 Escudos. 1954.

- Grade: MS66 (NGC).
On the obverse is depicted a Portuguese caravel with sails unfurled, sailing over the waves, symbol of the country’s maritime past, surrounded by the legend “REPUBLICA PORTUGUESA” and the year at the bottom. On the reverse the facial value “10 Esc.” is to the sides of an armillary sphere crowned by the national Portuguese shield, a classic emblem of Portuguese numismatic iconography. This coin, graded by NGC with an exceptional MS66, stands out for its sharpness and near-perfect preservation, making it a highly sought-after piece by collectors of European modern coins.
