Beautiful 19th-century forest landscape, executed in oil on panel, after a composition in the characteristic Romantic style of Barend Cornelis Koekkoek. The work bears an old, 19th-century signature "B.C. Koekkoek" and is a 19th-century copy, produced in the artist's own era.

The painter has convincingly approached the mood, composition, and brushwork of Koekkoek's famous forest views.
