Portable white enamelled metal first aid cabinet from France, dating to roughly the 1970s–1980s, in good condition with wear and age marks, featuring two metal lever clasps and a central retractable handle, and sold with its original interior layout and contents for decorative or historical purposes only.
Description from the seller
Charming and authentic metal travel first aid kit / medic cabinet in white lacquered metal, bearing its green relief cross with the emblematic "SOS" of the era.
This sturdy portable model, dating probably from the 1970s or 1980s, stands out for the particularly neat arrangement of its bright blue interior and the presence of numerous accessories and medical consumables from the era. A very beautiful piece of industrial décor or vintage medical collection.
Material: Metal / white lacquered sheet metal.
Front: Raised logo representing a green and gold cross with the inscription "SOS".
Closure system: Equipped with two robust metal lever latches on the front and a central retractable carrying handle.
Exterior condition: Nice vintage overall condition with its original patina. Signs of use, light scratches and small scattered paint chips (notably on the edges) that give it its authentic character and industrial look.
The interior opens to a sky-blue thermoformed plastic lining, very clean, with rigid red plastic loops to hold the instruments.
The box is sold "as is" with its abundant original contents:
In the lid: A pair of metal scissors, hydrophilic gauze strips from the "First aid kit", a file, a pair of tweezers, and a tongue depressor.
A packet of superior hydrophilic cotton codex "OLIVÉ super - Nouveau Spécial voyage".
A box of 10 sterilized Mölnlycke gauze cotton pads.
A packet of tissues bearing the Caduceus symbol.
Two transparent plastic storage boxes containing other bandages, adhesive tape, and a transparent eye-wash device with its vintage frame.
A wooden articulated splint.
An eye patch with elastic.
The medical products and consumables included in this box are vintage collectible items from the era and are sold exclusively for decorative or historical purposes, and not for current medical use.
