Description from the seller
A stupa (or stupā) is a sacred Buddhist monument that serves as a reliquary for relics of the Buddha or other saints.
It is designed as a symbol of the universe and the enlightened mind of the Buddha, and it provides a physical reminder of His teachings.
The structure of a traditional stupa is built from several symbolic layers that refer to the elements and the path to enlightenment:
Square base: Represents the earth and the foundation of the spiritual path (virtuous conduct).
Round dome: Symbolizes emptiness (shunyata), infinity, and water.
Tower and rings: The conical tower with rings represents fire and the specific stages toward enlightenment.Umbrella and top:
The finial symbolizes wind and the protection of the teaching, often finished with a sun and moon symbolizing the union of wisdom and compassion.
