Toi et Moi is a black-and-white poem, an ode to love and eternity captured in everyday life — in the intimacy and rituals that weave a life. At least, that’s how we would best translate it. With its cream-colored matte text pages and its white, glossy photograph pages, this volume is a magnificent meditation on love, affection, and all kinds of couples. A fairly rare book. It includes a text by Serge Tisseron, psychiatrist and psychoanalyst.

Claude Nori discovered photography at nineteen in Toulouse thanks to Patrick Chapuis, when he was aiming to become a director after studies at the Conservatoire du Cinéma Français. Together, they held their first exhibition in 1974 in the La Faourette neighborhood and were published in the magazine Photographie Nouvelle. In 1974, he left Toulouse for Paris, befriended photographer Bernard Plossu, and founded Contrejour, at once a magazine, a publishing house, and a gallery in Montparnasse that quickly became the meeting place and dissemination hub for new photography.

He publishes most of the early books by photographer-authors such as Guy Le Querrec, Bernard Plossu, Arnaud Claass, Denis Roche, Pierre et Gilles, Sebastião Salgado, Jeanloup Sieff, Gilles Peress, Luigi Ghirri and the humanists, Robert Doisneau, Edouard Boubat, Willy Ronis, Sabine Weiss… After working for Vogue, Daily Telegraph Magazine, he released his first photography book, Lunettes, in 1976, foreword by Agnès Varda, followed by a novel at Éditions du Seuil dedicated to American photographer Donna Ferrato, two films, and numerous books in which he pursues a photobiographical quest centered on the photographic flirt (in which the camera plays the role of go-between) of adolescence, Italy, and happiness[2]. He has exhibited at numerous festivals (Arles, Malmö, Houston, Tokyo, Valencia, Rome, Corigliano, Rio de Janeiro, Coimbra...) and at galleries, and his works have been shown in many collections. In 1984, he participated in the project (exhibition and book) Viaggio in Italia with Mimmo Jodice, Luigi Ghirri, Mario Cresci, Olivo Barbieri (en), Gabriele Basilico, Guido Guidi, Giovanni Chiaramonte... He launched the magazine Camera International in November 1984, which would run 42 issues through 1996, printed in large format in heliogravure[3].

In 1999, with his wife Isabelle Nori, he moved to Biarritz where they founded the Terre d’Images festival and the magazine Photo Nouvelles, then Revista, another Sud-Ouest in 2003. In June 2011, the new Contrejour editions were launched.
