Description from the seller

Seiko Prospex Samurai SRPL13K1

For 2024, Seiko aims to take its classics and update them, to continue surprising fans of the Japanese brand.
A meeting of two emblematic models, Shogun and Samurai, inspired by the armor of pre-Edo warriors, this watch offers a compact diameter and a sharp, uncompromising style.

The new Samurai has undergone a notable downsizing with a diameter of 41.7 mm. The thickness, at 12.3 mm, is also pleasing, and the case length, measured at 49.5 mm, makes it a bit long, but the shape of the lugs and the case back compensate for this.
The new references of the Seiko Samurai are still modern and angular but much less bulky than in the past, with much more tapered and thinner lugs.
Likewise, the unidirectional bezel preserves the classic knurled pattern on the side but with a completely new design for the metal insert, once again more elegant than before.

The dial has also been updated with new, refreshed indices and sword-shaped hands. The date window is at 4:30, as with many of Seiko Prospex's recent watches.
Three references are available: the SRPL11K1 with its bold red-bordeaux bezel and dial on a steel bracelet, the SRPL13K1, a classic black version with steel case and bracelet, and the SRPL15K1 with a black-coated case, matte black dial/bezel, and cream LumiBrite. The latter is worn on a black silicone strap.

The Seiko Samurai 2024 still relies on the entry-level 4R35 caliber, an automatic movement with a frequency of 3 Hz, a 41-hour power reserve, and hacking capability.

This watch offers all of Seiko's know-how and experience in a modern interpretation of two of the brand's icons.
It is also water resistant up to 20 BAR, thanks to a screw-down crown and a solid screw-down steel case back.

The model comes paired with a three-link satin-finished steel bracelet closed by a secure deployant clasp with a dive extension.
