A pair of silvered-brass candelabras in the Art Nouveau style from the early 20th century, made in France, with dimensions 31 cm high, 30 cm wide and 15 cm deep, in good used condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
They are two silver-plated brass candlesticks that clearly embody the spirit of Art Nouveau from the first half of the 20th century, the moment when decoration sought lively, elegant, and organic lines. Each piece rises on a circular base with a relief-edged border, almost like a metal rope that adds texture and a handcrafted touch. From there climbs a stylized shaft, with smooth curves and shaping reminiscent of stems or vegetal forms, very typical of the naturalistic language of the style.
The side arms, gracefully twisted, open in a fluid gesture that seems more growth than construction. They hold the three candle holders —two at the ends and one in the center— with a harmony that avoids rigidity and leans toward organic symmetry. The silvering of the brass, slightly patinated by time, offers a warm, restrained shine, one of those that enhances the curves without drifting into ostentation.
Together, they are candlesticks that combine functionality and sculpture, perfect for adding a decorative accent with history, movement, and that romanticism characteristic of Art Nouveau.
Tracked shipping and careful packaging.
