Ceramic - China - Qianlong (1736-1795)
Collected by a collector near Milan, Italy, these are two sets of tableware exported from China during the Qianlong period to European aristocratic households. The larger set is 14 cm high, with a mouth diameter of 4.8 cm and a belly diameter of 10.5 cm. The smaller set, possibly not from the Qianlong era, but rather from the reign of his son or grandson, is 9.8 cm high, with a mouth diameter of 4.5 cm and a belly diameter of 7.5 cm. Both are hand-painted with floral designs in famille rose enamel, demonstrating exquisite and beautiful painting skills.
