Beautiful, large hexagonal French faience jardinière (planter/cache-pot) manufactured by the famous atelier Lallier in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, France.
The pot is richly hand-painted all around in a classic Provençal style with detailed depictions of fantastical birds, butterflies, dragonflies and fine floral motifs. The rims are finished with an ornate green-glazed wavy edge.
At the bottom there is the original blue signature "Lallier à Moustiers".
Condition:
In good condition with light, normal signs of aging and use.
No major damage or restorations visible.
The glaze shows the fine crazing characteristic of faience.
