Description from the seller
Omega Seamaster Chronograph Ref. 145.006-68 – Calibro 321 – 18 kt yellow gold – Men’s – circa 1968
Rare and important Omega Seamaster Chronograph, reference 145.006, in 18 kt yellow gold, dating most likely to the late 1960s, around 1968.
The watch houses the famous Omega caliber 321, a hand-wound chronograph movement, among the most sought-after in the maison, appreciated by collectors for its historical architecture and its connection to Omega’s most iconic chronographs of the period.
The case, in 18 kt yellow gold, measures 38 mm excluding the crown and about 13 mm in thickness. The gross weight of the watch is about 75 g. The screw-down back is also in gold, with a central Seamaster medallion.
The original dial, never reprinted, presents a refined champagne/gold hue with vertical finish and three sub-dials in tone-on-tone. The external tachymeter scale and the inscription “T Swiss Made T” complete the vintage aesthetics of the model. The dial shows only slight signs of age, consistent with the watch’s age.
Hands, crown and pushers are original. The crystal is plexiglass and shows no obvious defects.
The watch is functioning. The chronograph starts, stops, and resets correctly; all three counters operate. Manual winding is smooth and accuracy has been verified.
The case shows normal wear appropriate for its age, with no major defects to report.
Watch without box or papers. Provenance: private collection from Northern Italy.
