Description from the seller

Rare and elegant French porcelain fish service consisting of 19 pieces, delicately depicting different species of freshwater fish in their natural habitat. This set captivates with the quality of its execution, the richness of its decoration, and its excellent presentation.
The 18 plates are signed Massé & Surget, a French house known for its high-quality porcelain productions in the 20th century.

The set includes:
18 fish plates in Massé & Surget porcelain, 24 cm in diameter.
1 large presenting oval platter, decorated with a magnificent trout, measuring 58.5 x 24 cm. Its style, craftsmanship, and decoration are perfectly matched to the plates.
Each piece features a different naturalistic motif (trout, pike, perch, carp, roach, etc.) finely executed, enhanced by an elegant gold border. The platter’s dynamic shape adds a refined touch and highlights the central scene.
Condition: Very good overall. The porcelain is bright, the decorations are fresh, and the gilding is well preserved. The photographs are an integral part of the description.
