Two wooden antique speculaas boards from the Netherlands dating to around 1900, one large heavy plank and one smaller plank with engravings, in good used condition.

What you see in our photos is a plank with 18 small depictions of so-called kleingoed, the cookies we all know to accompany coffee, with well-known motifs such as a mill, a brooding hen, an elephant, a squirrel, etc.
On the large, very heavy plank we see two carvings of a lady and a gentleman in traditional costume. This plank is a typical example of folk art, a plank that was probably carved by the baker himself and thus has a special charm.
For these two planks we think we have taken good photos, which are part of the description. The planks are in good condition, of course showing signs of use, which makes them all the more special.
