Description from the seller
GENERAL
This 1987 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit has approximately 85,000 miles on the odometer and is right-hand drive (RHD). Originally launched in 1980 as the successor to the Silver Shadow, the “Generation 1” Silver Spirit is notable for housing the brand’s legendary 6.75-liter V8 engine and for introducing licensed Citroën hydropneumatic self-levelling suspension. This particular unit retains the plate from the prestigious official dealer of origin in England, H.R. Owen. The car was imported from the United Kingdom to Spain in 2008, becoming part of a private collection and later used for events and weddings. It is kept in strictly original condition.
BODYWORK AND PAINT
The bodywork preserves its factory-original configuration. The paint shows a deep shine and is in generally good condition, with the exception of some typical wear and the passage of years. The only notable point to check is a small area of rust on one of the rear fenders, which can be seen in detail in the attached photographs.
MECHANICS
Mechanically, the car runs well and the gearbox shifts smoothly. A new battery has just been installed, and maintenance has been carried out regularly by a private mechanic. However, due to its limited use in recent years, it would be advisable to perform a full inspection and thorough service, especially because when hot it takes longer than normal to start. Despite this, the vehicle rolls well, as can be seen in the video available on request to Catawiki. The undersides are in good condition and show only light surface rust, favored by having always been garage-kept and by Madrid’s dry climate.
INTERIOR
The cabin is preserved in very good condition and retains all original elements. The blue leather upholstery has been very well cared for and is in excellent condition. The dashboard woods show wear typical of the age with a few minor cracks or small imperfections visible in the photos, while the original blue carpets show wear fully in line with the indicated mileage.
DOCUMENTATION
The vehicle has all its documentation in order and its ITV (technical inspection) is current, having been successfully passed regularly over the years.
PICK-UP
The car is located in Aranjuez, Madrid. If awarded at auction, the buyer must arrange and carry out pick-up at that location.
OTHER INFORMATION
Given the car’s limited use in recent times, a general service is advisable to enjoy it with total peace of mind. The seller invites interested parties to request the functioning video to verify the current smoothness of the car’s running before bidding.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
