Portuguese hallmarked silver devotional frame in 833/1000 silver, 10 × 6 cm, 35.8 g, dating 1850–1900, with a central oval repoussé Virgin and Child plaque and a second engraved 'Souvenir' plaque mounted on a black wooden backing with the original easel stand.

Portuguese Hallmarked Silver Devotional Frame (1887–1937) – Virgin and Child
Portugal assay mark (1887-1937), 833/000, and same date marker's mark.
The central oval plaque is finely executed in repoussé silver and depicts the Virgin Mary holding the Christ Child, surrounded by angels, clouds and a radiant halo. Below is a second silver plaque engraved "Souvenir", also bearing Portuguese silver hallmarks.
The silver plaques are mounted on a black wooden backing within a silver-mounted frame, retaining its original easel stand for tabletop display.
A charming example of Portuguese devotional silverwork from the late 19th to early 20th century, combining religious significance with decorative appeal.
Condition
Good antique condition, with light wear, minor scratches and a natural patina consistent with age and use. The easel stand is original and fully functional. Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description.
