Description from the seller
An iconic and highly decorative Secam Stylophot Standard (Color model) subminiature camera is being offered, manufactured in France around 1955. The camera is made of Bakelite and uses 16mm film to take 18 exposures. The device has a fixed shutter speed of 1/50 second and an adjustable aperture, often referred to with "color" and "noir" (black-and-white) settings.
This striking piece of industrial design – designed by the well-known camera designer Frédéric Kaftansk. The form strongly recalls a fountain pen or a large marker.
Optical: In very nice, neat cosmetic condition with minimal signs of aging (see photos for exact details).
Mechanical: The extendable film loader cocks smoothly and the shutter responds accurately when pressed. Not tested with film.
Accessories: Supplied including the desired original burgundy vinyl carrying case.
Given the age of the miniature devices they are sold as collectible and display objects; the exact mechanical accuracy or photographic functioning has not been tested on film. The shutter function has been checked and is working. Please view the photos carefully to get a good impression of the cosmetic condition of the cameras, cases and any packaging.
