An exquisite antique Dutch solid silver cake / pastry server (Taartschep), dating from the early 20th century. This server is a beautiful showcase of traditional Netherlands silverware craftsmanship, mixing high-relief figurative art with delicate scroll piercing.

Design & Iconography:
- Blade Scene: The upper blade features a wonderfully crisp, hand-chased relief depicting a classic Dutch tavern genre scene with figures smoking pipes and drinking around a wooden barrel, framed by stylized baroque flourishes.
- Openwork: The lower portion of the blade and the decorative handle are intricately cut out with scrolled foliage and floral openwork (ajour).
- Hallmarks: Struck with full and very clear Dutch state hallmarks on the front surface of the blade, including the Lion Passant marked with a "2" (guaranteeing the Dutch 2nd standard purity of .833 solid silver), the Minerva assay office head, and the official year letter.
