Description from the seller

GENERAL:
This 1985 Audi Coupé represents one of the most iconic and recognizable silhouettes of the Ingolstadt firm during the 1980s. Directly derived from the Audi 80 (B2) platform and designed under the influence of the legendary Audi Quattro that revolutionized the World Rally Championship, this model stands out for its characteristic two-door fastback profile and its excellent German build quality. The unit presented has only 118,000 kilometers on the odometer and has belonged to a single owner throughout its life, who cared for it meticulously and maintained it with great dedication. In recent years it has been used only sporadically and is always available to enjoy.

BODYWORK AND PAINT:
The body in anthracite gray is kept in very good overall condition thanks to the vehicle always sleeping in a garage. It retains its factory original paint, which fully guarantees the absence of structural accidents or significant scratches, presenting only two small defects and minor wear typical of regular use and the passage of time. For its part, the underside is in excellent condition with no defects beyond the usual chronological wear, presenting a state reminiscent of a practically new vehicle.

MECHANICS:
With only 118,000 kilometers, the mechanical assembly is in optimum working condition, always starting on the first try both cold and warm, while the transmission changes are entirely smooth. In the last technical inspection they recommended replacing the shock absorbers, a job that was left pending. The air conditioning system was repaired a year ago and includes the recent installation of a new compressor that cools perfectly and is fully operational. The car is equipped with tires bought new in 2023 and has just passed the technical inspection (ITV), which is valid for two more years.

INTERIOR:
The leather upholstery is original with which the vehicle left the factory and is kept in an excellent state of use and conservation, in line with the low mileage and the care of its sole owner, showing only minimal aesthetic details. In the instrument cluster, the fuel gauge has not worked for some time due to lack of original spare, which is why fuel consumption monitoring was done via the odometer, which has recently broken.

DOCUMENTATION:
The vehicle has just passed the technical inspection (ITV) and is valid for the next two years.

COLLECTION / DELIVERY:
The car is located in Madrid, Spain. If it is won at the auction, a storage period of 20 days will be available at no cost.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
