Foo Dog, also called Fu Dogs or Chinese porcelain lions, protector animals according to Buddhist law.
- The Fu Dog is a legendary animal that repels evil spirits. The Chinese lions are always depicted in pairs; the female is accompanied by a cub (under her paw) while the male plays with a globe (a ball / the world).
- In Chinese Buddhist temples, the guardian on the right is always the male and the one on the left the female. They are placed at the front door level to protect the dwelling or the temple from negative Chi.
