The Morgan Dollar-type coin was minted at the New Orleans Mint. On the obverse it features the bust of the personification of Liberty, designed by George T. Morgan. On the reverse, an eagle perched holding an olive branch and a bundle of arrows. It is one of the most emblematic coins of 19th-century American numismatics.
