Ovoid black glazed earthenware vase by Boch Frères La Louvière (Keramis), dating to the Art Deco period, 26 cm high with a maximum diameter of 16 cm, neck diameter 8 cm, and weighing 1.3 kg, in good condition with minor wear and age-related stains.
Description from the seller
Elegant and understated ovoid ceramic vase with a glossy black glazed finish, an iconic production from the famous Belgian manufacturer Boch Frères La Louvière (Keramis) dating from the Art Deco period. This model stands out for its modernist, minimalist aesthetic, featuring a rhythmic pattern of horizontal inlaid silver bands that beautifully accentuate its shapely, rounded silhouette. The deep contrast between the brilliant black glaze and the metallic bands creates a striking geometric harmony, highly characteristic of the Atelier de Fantaisie designs influenced by Charles Catteau. The vase is in very good vintage condition, completely free of cracks or chips, and retains its full decorative appeal. Regarding its specifications, it stands 26 cm tall with a maximum diameter of 16 cm, a narrow neck measuring 8 cm, and a solid weight of 1300 g (perfectly balanced to hold a generous floral arrangement without any risk of tipping over). A chic and timeless collector's piece that will seamlessly complement both classic and contemporary interiors. Please examine the photos carefully to appreciate the reflections and patina details. The item will be professionally packed for secure transport and shipped with full track and trace tracking.
