Targetti Sankey Chrome Gooseneck Desk Lamp — Italy, 1970s

This is an exceptionally well-preserved example of the iconic Targetti Sankey desk lamp from the Space Age era of the 1970s. Manufactured by the renowned Italian lighting house Targetti Sankey from Florence, this lamp embodies the optimism and the futuristic design language that defined Italian industrial design in that period.

The lamp consists of a stunning chrome-plated, hemispherical lampshade with elegant ventilation slits at the top, mounted on a flexible black plastic gooseneck arm that provides full freedom in directing the light. The weighted chrome base with integrated switch ensures stability and ease of use.

The chrome is in remarkably good condition with a deep, warm sheen. The flexible arm is fully functional and holds its position excellently. This larger model (55 cm height) is less commonly found than the smaller variants.
