A striking and highly functional piece, where British silversmithing tradition meets the practicality of French tempered glass. -Origin: *Stand and lid: England (Sheffield Style/School). *Glass tray: France (Pyrex France). -Manufacture/Attributed: *Metal structure attributed to high-quality English silversmithing (no visible signature). *Glass inner tray by Pyrex France. -Style: Neoclassical/British Edwardian (Victorian/Sheffield Inspiration). -Period: Early 20th century (c. 1910–1930). -Materials: *Stand, handles, and lid: Silver-plated brass (Electroplate). *Inner tray: Refractory borosilicate glass (Pyrex). -Technique: Openwork gallery, decorative relief casting, and thermal glass molding. -Ornamentation: *Stand gallery: Openwork perimeter frieze with stylized leaf motifs and garlands of classical inspiration, characteristic of Sheffield's style. *Legs and handles: Swiveled, raised legs decorated with acanthus leaves.
