Table lamp - Plastic, Textile

There is only a very fine crack that is barely noticeable. Stunning original table lamp dating from the mid-1970s, a perfect illustration of the warm, organic, and textured design of that decade. Its originality lies in its large openwork spherical lampshade, made from dark brown natural jute/sisal threads meticulously taut and geometrically crisscrossed over a notched frame. A center opaline diffuser cylinder softens the light. When lit, this structure creates beautiful patterns and a very warm striped shadow play on the surrounding walls, typical of Northern European productions of the era (in the vein of German or Dutch publishers such as Temde, Sompex or Dijkstra), as in the last photo.
