Sèvres porcelain 25-piece table service, marked Manufacture de Sèvres with the rare 'Les Élèves de la Manufacture' stamp, dating 1866–1902, in excellent condition with minimal wear, featuring cobalt blue borders and geometric neo‑renaissance motifs.
Description from the seller
Important Sèvres porcelain table service, comprising 25 pieces, late 19th century.
All pieces stamped with the factory mark (dates ranging from 1866 to 1902) and bearing the rare stamp "Les Élèves de la Manufacture" (mastery decor) - see photo.
Pieces drawn from the molds of the famous Emperor Napoleon III service at the Tuileries Palace, which was gilded.
Historic pieces, very rare; the elements of this service are so-called master pieces, made at the end of training within the workshops of the Sèvres factory.
In excellent condition.
Very beautiful cobalt blue filet and geometric arabesques at the center of the pieces. Neo-Renaissance style typical of the taste of the second half of the 19th century.
Extremely refined and chic. Superb shapes.
Detailed composition (25 pieces):
• 1 monumental tureen (Ø 29 cm, H 19 cm): Year 1886. Excellent condition.
• 1 vegetable dish (Ø 27 cm, H 13 cm): Year 1892. (Note: crack on the lid, restoration possible).
• 1 footed cup (Ø 27.5 cm, H 11 cm): Year 1866 (Napoleon III era).
• 1 sauce boat and its navette: Years 1896 and 1890.
• 2 gondola-shaped serving dishes (L 27 cm): Years 1885 and 1894.
• 9 flat plates (Ø 23 cm): Manufacture dates 1880 to 1902. (7 in good condition, 2 with chips, central motifs slightly patinated by use).
• 5 dessert/appetizer plates (Ø 19.5 cm): Years 1883 and 1885. (1 with micro-chip at edge).
• 5 flat plates "Turquoise Blue" (Ø 23 cm): Years 1882 and 1883. Very good condition.
All pieces are authenticated by the pâte marks on the back (e.g., S72, S85, etc.) and the form pieces bear the initials of the artisans who made them.
Shipping possible with all necessary protections, but given the historical value and fragility of the set, hand delivery is favored, in Paris 7th arrondissement.
