Manufacturer number 859
The VT 859 class belongs to a series of diesel multiple units from VT 851 to VT 871 and were built by the wagon factory Wismar.
Tested and working

The train sets served in the Stuttgart and Munich area, later they were also deployed in Schwerin (Mecklenburg) and remained in service with the Reichsbahn until 1940. During World War II they were used for war purposes. After World War II the train set VT 859 ended up with the Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB), which classified it as class VT 65 and assigned it fleet number VT 65 903. In 1957 the train set was taken out of service due to a crack in the bogie.
