An elegant Japanese cloisonné enamel vase dating from the Shōwa period. The vase is decorated with plum blossoms, birds, bamboo leaves and seasonal flowers against a deep red hammered-style background. The traditional wired cloisonné technique creates fine details and vibrant colours, making this an attractive decorative work of Japanese craftsmanship.
