A fine porcelain chocolate pot and its silver lid and lathed hardwood handle, measuring circa 17cm in height and weighing 365g, decorated in polychrome enamels and gold to depict a rose garland above scattered roses, the silver hinged lid and sleeve stamped with maker´s mark A. Pot and assay mark .950, the lid and shoulder guilloche decorated, crowned with a pineapple finial. The silver is Belgian work, 19th century. The porcelain pot probably Brussels, first half to mid 19th century. Marked with an impressed "D" to the underside. Weight of the silver lid: 37g. Condition: Excellent, no damages or repairs.
