Wall bouquet holder "Abeille" in iridescent ceramic – Sarreguemines (Model 4402) - Art Nouveau c. 1910
Elegant wall vase (porte-bouquet mural) depicting a stylized bee or wasp, made by the famous French manufacturer Faïencerie de Sarreguemines during the Art Nouveau period (circa 1900-1920).
Key features
Design and Technique: Naturalistic sculptural format with a splendid glossy metallic/iridescent glaze that creates changing reflections of gold and violet light. The wings feature finely finished hand-carved details and veins.
Factory marks: On the back the mark SARREGUEMINES, the shape/model number 4402, and the workshop marks are clearly impressed in the ceramic paste.
Condition: The item is in excellent overall condition for its age, preserving the brilliance of the original lustre. Please refer to the high-resolution photographs for details.
