Jaeger-LeCoultre vintage travel clock in brass with a mechanical 8-day movement, Swiss Made, estimated 1960–1970.
Description from the seller
Jaeger-LeCoultre – Vintage 8-day travel watch – Mechanical – Swiss Made – 1950s/1960s
Description:
Elegant vintage mechanical travel watch Jaeger-LeCoultre with 8 days, Swiss-made and approximately dating to the 1950s–1960s.
Features a rectangular silver-toned dial signed “Jaeger-LeCoultre” and “Swiss Made,” with applied gold-tone hour markers and Arabic numerals at 12 and 6.
At the bottom of the dial appears the characteristic “8” symbol inside a circle, associated with its long power-reserve mechanical movement of approximately eight days between winds.
Rectangular gold-tone case integrated into a black textured folding travel case, designed to protect the watch when closed and to serve as a desk stand when opened.
The dial features an elegant mid-20th-century design, with gold-tone hands, applied markers and a central seconds hand.
The watch shows visible signs of age and use. The gold finish shows wear, scratches, oxidation and superficial coating loss, especially around the bezel.
The black folding travel case also shows scuffs, edge wear and deterioration consistent with age and use.
An interesting vintage Swiss watch piece and an attractive example of the travel watches produced by Jaeger-LeCoultre during the 20th century.
Approximate measurements:
Dial diameter/Case: approx. 7.5 × 6.5 cm
Closed case: approx. 11 × 7.5 cm
Closed thickness: approx. 2–2.5 cm
Open height in desk-standing position: approx. 11–12 cm
Measurements are approximate and it is recommended to verify them manually before listing the advert.
Condition
Vintage condition with visible signs of age and use.
The black folding travel case shows wear, scuffs and deterioration, particularly along the edges and folding areas.
Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are an integral part of the description.
Sold as a vintage collectible piece.
No maintenance or service history available.
