His Master's Voice portable suitcase gramophone, model 101, circa 1926.
It stands out exceptionally for its impeccable mechanical health: the motor has been completely overhauled to guarantee correct speed. The cord and gears have been lubricated with grease suited to this mechanism and the axles have been treated with watchmaker's oil.
The resulting sound is excellent and it sounds quite good; the bass is well defined and the highs do not saturate at all. It works perfectly and plays complete records without losing sound strength.
The handle and the platter clip are new parts. The rest is strictly original.
Aesthetic condition: The case shows visible wear to the fabric and a patina of oxidation on the hardware, defects typical of its age and use that do not affect its performance.
