AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Beautiful MGA Roadster from 1959 offered, meticulously restored.
This 1500 Roadster is in excellent condition; the restoration was very neatly and professionally carried out between 1998 and 2002, with no detail overlooked.

This MGA features Old English White paint, Bordeaux red leather upholstery, a good original soft top, matching sidescreens, and new chrome work. The MGA comes from the second owner who held it for over 24 years and had purchased it from the first owner.

This color combination is fantastic! Old English White with original wire wheels, Bordeaux red leather upholstery, and a stunning dashboard color matched and equipped with Jaeger clocks.

Exterior:
Perfect paint, solid chassis in excellent condition, previously restored (older restoration 1998–2002). The paint is in perfect condition. The engine bay looks good and is neatly color-smatched. The trunk is tidy and solid and is Old English White. The doors, bonnet and boot lid have good gaps and closures, and their seams are perfect. It also has the original Lucas headlights and indicators, a nice original exhaust from front to back, and new door seals and TEX chrome mirrors.
The chrome bumpers are replaced and in new condition; the grille is original and perfect.
An outstanding MGA Roadster!

Interior:
The interior features an original black carpet set, tidy red door cards, and two Bordeaux red leather seats with a red piping. The steering wheel is original Nardi of ebony wood with a polished hub and is like new; there is the original speaker present!
Both inside and outside truly in outstanding condition.

Technical:
Equipped with the original 1498cc four-cylinder engine with 68 HP and four-speed manual transmission. (Of course, this engine and all mechanics have been thoroughly checked in our workshop and given a complete service.)
During restoration the entire engine was rebuilt and overhauled, all peripheral parts were replaced and the engine functions well.
The brakes and suspension are in top condition. New shock absorbers and brake cylinders have been installed. The MGA starts and drives perfectly.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
