Up for auction: one of the most robust and precise 35mm SLRs of the late 1970s—the Yashica FR in black finish. This model is fully mechanical in shutter operation yet equipped with an electronic light meter and an innovative ultra-short-travel electromagnetic shutter release button, offering an exceptionally smooth shooting experience. It is paired with its high-end standard lens, the Yashica ML 50mm f/1.7. The lot includes the original black leather strap visible in the photo.

Optics: The Yashica ML 50mm lens presents clean glass, free from mold, fungus, or deep scratches. The multicoated front surface is intact. Smooth focus and aperture rings.

Mechanical and Electronic: Camera tested. The shutter responds accurately at all speeds; the top electromagnetic shutter release system is ready and responsive. The internal exposure metering LEDs in the viewfinder react regularly to changes in light. Battery compartment clean.

Aesthetics: Excellent overall vintage condition. The original black paint is well preserved with minimal and negligible signs of use on the metal edges; the black vulcanite covering is intact and firmly attached.
