About the work:

The artist's works mainly feature men, depicted in their intimacy, vulnerability or contradictions. Through them, she denounces certain masculine taboos and questions the injunctions.

The artist creates and cuts her stencils herself. She recycles old magazines to use their paper for collage. Each piece is unique because of this technique.

Born in 1986 in La Louvière (Belgium), G. Carta lives and works today in France, in Montpellier.
Her art is a quest for identity, deep values, deconstruction and reconstruction. Each work is an invitation to vulnerability, a plunge into her raw and sincere reality.
