Louis Fontinelle - Figure - Faience

This sculpture, created around 1930, is an authentic, signed work by Louis Fontinelle (model 145), depicting an athletic female figure restraining two powerful mastiffs in a dynamic, geometric composition. Crafted in glossy ivory-cream glazed earthenware, it features a fine network of natural crackle and light firing specks. The piece is in very good condition with no restoration—showing only a fine superficial crack at the base as the sole sign of age—and measures 50 × 12 × 35 cm, with a solid weight of 3.5 kg.
