Silver 5 Mark coin issued to commemorate the bicentennial of the proclamation of the Kingdom of Prussia (1701-1901), minted at the Berlin mint, identified by the letter "A". The obverse features the superimposed busts of Frederick I and Wilhelm II oriented to the left, a composition of great symbolic strength linking the founder of the kingdom with the reigning monarch. The portrait of Wilhelm II appears with a Prussian-style helmet, while Frederick I sports a Baroque wig, creating a marked artistic contrast between the two eras. The reverse shows the imperial German eagle crowned, with central shield and rich heraldic ornamentation, executed with extraordinary detail and relief depth. The piece retains abundant original lustre in the fields, especially visible around the portraits and in the open areas of the reverse, with slight surface marks and small contact lines typical of a coin that has experienced minimal circulation. It is one of the most emblematic commemorative issues of the German Empire, minted to celebrate two centuries of Prussian royal history and the dynastic continuity represented by Wilhelm II.
