Elegant set of 23 lead crystal glasses, hand-blown and hand-cut, from the prestigious Irish firm Waterford, in the coveted classic 'Clare' pattern. This design stands out for its complex geometric diamond-cutting at the base of the goblet, finished with fine vertical cuts in the form of leaves and a spectacular six-sided faceted stem. The lot is ideally structured as an exclusive service for 4 or 5 diners, complemented with additional courtesy pieces and security for future replacements.
Lot breakdown (23 pieces):
6 Water Glasses: ~15.2 cm in height.
6 Champagne Flutes: ~18.4 cm in height.
5 Punch/Wine Glasses: ~14.3 cm in height.
6 cordial/Port/Sherry Glasses: ~13 cm in height.
Condition and Authenticity:
Excellent vintage condition, with no chips, nicks, or opacity from washing. The crystal retains its characteristic brilliance, substantial weight, and a very high acoustic resonance to the touch (typical of lead crystal from the brand). The pieces do not bear the acid-etched mark because they belonged to series originally labeled with the brand’s gold sticker, removed during washes.
