HISTORY/PANORAMA
The Innocenti 950 Spider is one of the most elegant Italian spiders of the early 1960s, born from the collaboration between Innocenti and Ghia. Characterized by a clean, refined line, it blends the pleasure of open-air driving with simple, reliable mechanics derived from the Austin-Healey Sprite, a quality that has made it a car highly appreciated by collectors today. Today the Innocenti 950 Spider represents a rare and charming testament to Italian motoring of the era, increasingly sought after for its limited production and the timeless elegance of its coachwork.
EXTERIOR
The bodywork is finished in the original Red and was restored in the past, and it still presents in good overall condition. There are some minor, normal signs of wear due to age and use, fully compatible with the car’s age. The chromework is complete, correct, and well preserved, enhancing the vehicle’s elegant lines.
Recently a professional polishing and detailing treatment was carried out, further improving the car’s presentation.
The soft top is in good condition; it opens and closes easily, provides good protection from the weather, and is complete with its hood cover.
The underbody is generally solid and largely original. It has benefited from some restoration work over the years and there is no evidence of previous accidents, also checked by measuring the bodywork with a paint-thickness gauge.
INTERIOR
The cabin largely preserves the original layout and is well kept. The dashboard retains all the original era instruments, complete and well preserved, contributing to the authentic charm of the cockpit. The overall appearance is neat and pleasant. The rare steering wheel is also present.
MECHANICS
Mechanically, the car is equipped with its own four-cylinder Austin engine, original code 9CB, which starts readily and runs smoothly. The gearbox and clutch operate correctly, delivering a pleasant driving experience; a new brake pump has just been installed and a new battery as well. The car can be driven on private grounds, however the technical inspection has expired many years ago and a full service ahead of the next inspection is advisable before use.
Thanks to its elegant original configuration and good general condition, this Innocenti 950 Spider represents a rare opportunity for fans of 1960s Italian spiders.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
