HISTORY/PANORAMA
The Audi RS4 Avant represents one of the most iconic high-performance wagons of the early 2000s, developed to combine top-level performance, versatility and permanent quattro all-wheel drive. The first generation RS4, identified by the B5 code, is equipped with the famous 2.7-biturbo V6 engine and is considered one of Audi’s most successful sports models.
The unit in the auction, produced in 2001, is equipped with the desirable six-speed manual transmission and presents in excellent condition, with documented ownership history and meticulously performed maintenance at the official Audi network. The car also features an homologated stainless steel sport exhaust system that further enhances its performance character, while preserving the identity of one of the RS models most appreciated by enthusiasts.
EXTERIOR
The car presents in the elegant factory-original Brilliant Black color. The bodywork is in excellent overall condition and retains about 90% of the original factory paint, a detail of particular interest to enthusiasts and collectors. All exterior details are correct, complete and original. An ultrasonic thickness test showed no accidents.
Recently a professional polishing and detailing treatment was carried out that further enhanced the paint’s gloss and the overall presentation of the car.
The thickness test did not reveal any traces of accidents or structural repairs, a finding also confirmed by the Carfax certificate, which also attests to the consistency of the mileage.
The chassis and structure are completely original and are in excellent condition, fully consistent with the car’s overall state and its low mileage, having never been modified over time.
INTERIOR
The cabin is in excellent original condition and preserved originality. The original leather and Alcantara upholstery, door panels, carpet, headliner and center console are well maintained, as are all the details characteristic of this version.
The soft-touch upholstery has never been restored and is still in very good condition, further testimony to the authenticity of the specimen and covered storage.
Before going on sale, a thorough interior sanitation was also performed.
MECHANICS
The car is equipped with its own original 2.7-liter V6 Biturbo engine capable of delivering 380 hp. The powerplant starts promptly, runs smoothly and shows no detected mechanical faults, while the six-speed manual transmission provides precise shifts and a fully engaging driving experience.
The car also features a stainless steel sport exhaust end, and was recently subjected to a full service check. The tires have been recently replaced.
The latest technical inspection, passed in August 2026 with validity until August 2028, showed no defects, confirming the vehicle’s roadworthiness.
Thanks to the sought-after manual transmission, the extraordinary originality of the bodywork, and documented maintenance at the official Audi network, this Audi RS4 Avant B5 is an absolutely interesting specimen. One of the most representative high-performance sports wagons of the era of high-performance youngtimers, destined to win over both Audi enthusiasts and collectors seeking an authentic RS that is increasingly hard to find.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
