Description from the seller
BMW E36 325i - 1991 – Manual – First owner
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This BMW E36 325i was new in Spain and comes from the first owner. The car was recently imported to Belgium and is not yet registered. It is in an exceptionally original condition and has never been restored or modified. The car still has its original paint, original cloth interior, original headliner, and original door panels. Thanks to its Spanish origin, the body is exceptionally well preserved. The car is sold including the original BMW documentation, three keys, recent maintenance invoices, and the original BMW Ibérica homologation certificate.
SHEET METAL & PAINTWORK
The bodywork is in a particularly original state and has never been restored or repainted. It still has its original factory paint on all body parts. The gaps of the doors, hood, and trunk lid are correct and show no signs of past collision repairs.
The body shows no rust or corrosion. No welding has been done and, as far as is known, never necessary. The car benefited from the dry Spanish climate throughout its life, which is clearly visible in the overall condition of the body and undercarriage.
As expected for a 35-year-old car, there are some minor signs of wear appropriate to its age, but there are no significant damages that detract from the exceptionally original condition of the car.
The rubber seals, mouldings, glass, and original BMW light alloy wheels are also in a neat and well-kept condition.
TECHNICAL CONDITION
The BMW is powered by the original 2.5-liter six-cylinder (M50B25) with 192 hp and is paired with the original five-speed manual gearbox. The engine starts reliably, both cold and warm, runs smoothly at idle and delivers the power as expected. The gearbox shifts smoothly through all gears and the clutch also functions correctly.
The car shows no oil leaks from the engine or gearbox. During the current ownership, a lot of preventive maintenance was performed to bring the car to optimal technical condition. Nearly €2,900 was invested, for which all invoices are available.
Recently carried out among others:
- Major service with new engine oil and oil filter.
- New air filter.
- Replacement of the entire crankcase ventilation and various intake hoses.
- New rubber intake boot.
- New intake manifold and throttle body gaskets.
- New handbrake lever.
- New rear lamp holders and various lamps.
- New fuel hose.
- New gas springs for bonnet and trunk lid.
- New exhaust mounting rubbers.
- New Hardy disk.
- New driveshaft center support.
- All brake hoses replaced.
- New brake fluid.
- Four new Hankook Ventus Prime 3 tires.
The car is ready to drive immediately and, as far as is known, requires no technical work.
INTERIOR
The interior remains in its original state and has never been restored or modified. The original cloth seats, door panels, and carpets are well preserved and show only normal signs of use appropriate to the car’s age.
The original headliner is still present and does not sag. The dashboard, center console, and other interior components are also well-kept without notable damage.
All major comfort features function properly, including power windows, electrically adjustable mirrors, central locking, power steering, and air conditioning. The onboard computer also works, though a few pixels on the display show typical age-related failures.
The car also comes with the original tool kit, manuals, and three original keys.
DOCUMENTATION
The following documents accompany the car:
- Original BMW Ibérica homologation certificate.
- Original BMW manuals.
- Three original keys.
- Recent maintenance invoices totaling nearly €2,900.
OTHER INFORMATION
This BMW E36 325i stands out for its exceptional originality. It is an unrestored car from the first owner in Spain, with its original paint, original interior, and extensive documentation. The combination of the atmospheric M50 six-cylinder, manual transmission, and the excellent original condition makes this a particularly interesting example for both collectors and enthusiasts of authentic BMW Youngtimers.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
