Agfa Movexoom camera 8 mm Double-8 from 1963 with Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon and carrying case
Description
Vintage Agfa Movexoom camera, manufactured in Germany from 1963 and intended for 8 mm Double-8 film stock, also known as Regular 8.
It is the first version of the Movexoom series, recognizable by the long manual zoom control and the fixed lens:
Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon 1:1.8 / 9–30 mm
The camera is equipped with an electric motor, reflex viewfinder, disengageable automatic exposure meter, and distance indications in both meters and feet. The model was powered by five AA batteries.
The lot includes:
* Agfa Movexoom camera;
* Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon 1:1.8 / 9–30 mm lens;
* additional Agfa Movexoom optic;
* lens hood;
* filters and accessory lenses with metal rings;
* original shoulder strap;
* rigid, contoured case with blue interior.
The device shows normal signs of age and use, small superficial scratches, and yellowing of the grip. The optical parts appear intact on external visual inspection, but have not been professionally checked for dust, hazing, or internal mold.
The operation has not been tested.
The camera is therefore sold as-is, as a collectible device, for display or potential overhaul, with no warranty on mechanical or electrical function or on the exposure meter.
