Description from the seller
Grand Imperial Table Service (143 Pieces) — Bavarian Porcelain "Extra Fein" and Marcello Aglieri Author Crystal with 24 kt Gold Finishes.
Lot type: Combined table service (porcelain + glassware)
Total number of pieces: 143 pieces in total
Era / Period: Second half of the 20th Century - High-end finishes: borders in genuine 24 kt gold on all elements
Countries of origin: Germany (Bavarian porcelain) / Italy (author crystal)
Porcelains: Original mark impressed on the bottom "G.C.H.T. — Frauenkirche München".
Crystals: Signature incised/printed on each piece by the designer "Marcello Aglieri".
Prestigious and imposing combined table service for 12 people, designed for the most formal and elegant receptions.
The lot stands out for the union of two excellence manufactories, stylistically harmonized by the lavish and elegant glossy 24 kt gold edge. Fine Bavarian Porcelain (105 total pieces) The ceramic service was made with a high-density body (Extra Fein) and treated with a patented special glaze called "Einschnitt", designed specifically to resist deep scratches and knife cuts. Notable feature: The set includes an exceptional allocation of as many as 24 soup plates, a rarity ideal for handling double courses of primi or elaborate menus. Includes flat plates, dessert plates, large coordinated serving platters (oval and round), a salad bowl and a serving tureen.
Marcello Aglieri Author Crystal (37 total pieces) The table is completed by a set of high-refractive-index crystal glasses and serving pieces, signed by the well-known Italian designer Marcello Aglieri.
The goblets feature slender lines and a clear, crystalline resonance to the touch.
12 Water Goblets (with gold rim)
11 Wine Goblets (with gold rim)
12 Champagne Flutes (with gold rim)
1 Water or soft drink jug coordinated
1 Wine bottle/decanter with original crystal stopper
All never used.
Structural integrity: Excellent, like new. No chips*, hairlines, cracks or structural defects on both porcelain and crystal pieces. Condition of the 24 kt gold: Perfect. The gilding on the rims of all 143 pieces is bright, intact and uniform, with no typical signs of washing wear or rubbing abrasions. Glass transparency: The crystals are perfectly clear and bright, free of calcification hazing.
Two defects to declare:
1) the water glasses are 11
2) one teacup has a small edge chip
NOTES ON PACKAGING AND SHIPPING: Given the exceptional fragility, value and size of the lot (143 pieces), a professional customized packaging is guaranteed: use of bubble wrap for each single piece. Internal reinforced boxes separated by type (porcelain and crystal divided). Possible shipment on a protected pallet (platform), fully trackable. Immediate availability also for in-person pickup by the buyer.
