Standard trade weights (16) Antique - Belgium - 1850-1900

Very heavy (5769) grams. An antique hardwood block (oak/teak??). It contains 15 weights, increasing from 1 gram up to no less than 2 kilograms. Probably from the late 19th century (circa 1880–1900). In a nicely worn condition, which makes the piece even more attractive; it is remarkable that the object remained complete given its great age. Probably originating from Belgium/Netherlands.
