Pierre d'Avesn Centerpiece "Oiseaux"
Elegant Art Deco piece decorated in relief with exotic birds among botanical motifs, crafted in opalescent molded glass with the characteristic play of light and transparency that distinguishes French production of the era.
Pierre d'Avesn, the artistic name of Pierre Girre, was a key figure in French Art Deco glass. After collaborating with René Lalique, he began his own production in 1926, creating some of the best-known pieces of French decorative design of the period.
The combination of sculptural relief and opalescent finish makes this centerpiece highly decorative and refined, ideal for a collection or as a standout piece in a display cabinet or elegant interior.
