Grande modular bookcase FEAL Milano – aluminum and wood – Italy, 1956–1960
Important modular bookcase produced by FEAL Milano in the second half of the 1950s, expression of post-war Italian design and research on aluminum modular systems.
The structure consists of anodized aluminum tubular uprights with original die-cast joints stamped:
FEAL MILANO – BREV. – PAT. U.S.A.
The patented system allows fixing and adjusting the shelves through original FEAL cylindrical elements, evidence of the high design and construction quality.
The shelves are made with an engraved-extruded aluminum frame and wood panel, a typical solution of high-end Italian production in the 1950s.
Modularity, the use of aluminum and the purity of the lines make this bookcase an excellent example of Italian Modernism.

This is an extremely rare specimen, complete with the original FEAL-stamped die-cast joints.
Very good structural conditions.
Normal signs of time and use, fully compatible with the age of the piece.
