Wall lamp (2) - Gilt bronze

Impressive pair of six-light wall sconces in gilded metal and brown wood – Louis XV style – ca. 1900. A striking pair of wall sconces, each with six light arms, crafted in gilded metal and worked, mounted on elegant carved brown wood plaques. The metal framework features rich vegetal-inspired decoration, with acanthus leaves, scrolls, flowers, garlands and spiral elements. The sinuous arms end in ornate circular sconces and candle-shaped sockets, giving the set a theatrical and sophisticated presence. The wood plaques, elongated and curvilinear in shape, have a raised frame and well-marked natural grain, creating a very elegant decorative contrast with the gold tone of the metal. Given their generous dimensions and ornate richness, this pair is especially suitable for a large room, an entrance hall, stairway, hotel, restaurant, or a classical decor project. Pieces produced between the late 19th and early 20th centuries, in the Louis XV style. Approximate dimensions of each sconce: Height: 80 cm.
