Complete set of 6 Italian design espresso cups – Luca Trazzi – Tre Tazzi Collection 1994 – Made in Italy
Beautiful and complete set of six different espresso cups with matching saucers, designed by the Italian architect and designer Luca Trazzi.
This colorful series from 1994 is rendered in deep cobalt blue with playful motifs such as a ladybug, turtle, crocodile, fish, gears and a fiery sun/dragon. Each cup has its own matching saucer with a unique decoration.
The set was produced by IPA (Italy), the same renowned manufacturer that also produced the official illy Art Collection. My pieces belong to the Tre Tazzi Collection 1994, an alternative edition of the same famous Trazzine series.
What makes this series special is that for the first time not only the cups, but all six saucers were decorated individually, making this collection a milestone in Italian design history.
