A heavy antique Napoleon III period jewelry box or keepsake box.

From the 19th century, made of brass/bronze. The box sits on elegant claw feet (one repaired), the sides and lid are decorated with detailed relief work (repoussé), with floral motifs and garlands and a central diamond motif.
The interior is lined with tufted silk/satin fabric. The inner edges are finished with fine, precious and fashionable silk fringe. For its age, still in remarkable condition.

Bottom: DÉPOSÉ (registered design) 379 (model number) Dimensions 16.5 x 14 x 7.5 centimeters. Date: 19th century. Weight: 1080 grams.

Een zware antieke Napoleon III tijdperk juwelenkist of herinneringsdoos. 

Uit de 19e eeuw, gemaakt van messing/brons. Het kistje staat op sierlijke klauwpoten (een gerepareerd), de zijkanten en deksel zijn voorzien van gedetailleerd reliëfwerk (repoussé), met bloemmotieven en guirlandes en een centraal ruitmotief.
De binnenkant is bekleed met gecapitonneerde zijden/fluwelen stof. De binnenranden zijn afgewerkt met fijne,  kostbare en modieuze zijden franjes. Voor de leeftijd nog in een opmerkelijke staat.
