Sculptural Coffee Table in Laminated Glass – The 1970s/1980s

Multi-level coffee table entirely in glass, characterized by a central sculptural structure created by stacking and rotating shaped glass sheets.
The base develops a continuous, almost organic helical form, reminiscent of a dynamic twist—halfway between a spiral and a double helix—becoming the true protagonist of the piece.

The three circular shelves, also cut from glass, fit into the structure with a light yet decisive visual balance, creating a vertical, rhythmic, and unconventional composition.

The glass presents a slight greenish tint typical of float glass from that era, with polished edges and meticulous workmanship. The construction technique, based on overlapped and glued modules, highlights a formal exploration closer to unique pieces or to small-scale artisanal production than to mass industrial manufacture.
