Tissot L 397 Automatic Chronograph Day-Date – 38 mm

A distinctive vintage Tissot automatic chronograph combining a classic white dial, gold-tone details and a practical day-date display.

The dial features applied gold-tone hour markers, matching hands, three chronograph subdials and separate windows displaying the day and date. The chronograph arrangement provides an attractive mechanical appearance, while the engraved tachymeter scale on the bezel adds a sporty character.

The watch is powered by an automatic mechanical chronograph movement. Its functions include chronograph timing, a small-seconds display, a 12-hour counter, a 30-minute counter, and day and date indications.

The stainless-steel case is complemented by a gold-tone tachymeter bezel, crown and chronograph pushers. Please examine the photographs carefully: the gold-tone finish on the bezel shows considerable age-related wear, scratches, fading and areas of plating loss. The crown, pushers and case also display visible signs of use.

The white dial remains attractive and legible. Small age-related marks may be present, consistent with the watch’s estimated period. The watch is fitted with a black leather strap and a signed Tissot buckle.

Condition: Used, with visible scratches, marks, fading and considerable wear to the gold-tone finish, particularly on the bezel, crown and chronograph pushers. Please study all photographs, as they form an important part of the description.

The watch has been inspected, tested and fully serviced by an experienced professional. It was functioning properly at the time of sale. The chronograph, day and date functions were also checked.

The case back is marked “Water Resistant 30M.” However, the watch has not been pressure-tested. Therefore, water resistance is not guaranteed, and contact with water is not recommended.

The original box and papers are not included.

All watches are carefully packaged in a sturdy protective box.
