Description from the seller
Rare Omega Speedmaster automatic with the characteristic TV Screen shape, in stainless steel. An iconic piece from the late 1970s/early 1980s, produced in a number far smaller than that of the manual-wind Speedmasters (Moonwatch). It houses the automatic Lemania 1045 movement, finished by Omega. The chronograph includes 24-hour, day, and date functions. The piece is fully original, single-owner, was owned by my father and has never left our family. It was polished only once in the past, and all parts are period-correct. The overall aesthetic condition is good. It has the original black dial with baton hands and three registers that have shifted to a very distinctive shade. Some tritium lume has faded over time. The crystal is mineral with the tachymeter scale inside; in excellent condition with minor scratches. The stainless steel case is TV-shaped, a feature that makes this model iconic. The crown, pushers, and screw-back are original and in good condition, though they show some chips. The reference and serial numbers are clearly visible inside the case back (this model has the serial numbers on the movement). Vintage condition is very nice. Movement is functioning, chronograph functions are operational, but the watch has not been serviced recently, so the power reserve is minimum. Please note that it has NOT BEEN SERVICED, therefore precision is not guaranteed, and a service is recommended for someone who intends to use it in a high-performance way. There are some signs of wear on the case, crystal, and dial, but nothing that diminishes the watch’s charm. A beautiful example of this model. Included with the sale are some extra links and a handmade leather travel pouch. Inventory Code: W5. Worldwide shipping with a courier, professional packaging, insured for full value.
